So for the past two to three weeks, we have gotten tons of holiday goodies from neighbors, friends and patients. Homemade fudge, cookies, cakes, pies & my husband decided over Christmas break to bring them all home. Now, normally I would just glance over them, but today, I think that they all had a mind of their own, talking to me and telling me, "Liz, you know you want me...." or "Just one bite wouldn't hurt...." It was tough, but I drank a lot of water, and pushed to urges way down.
Today was upper body, and after all of the cooking that I did yesterday, I was not really motivated to go to the gym. Bad idea!!! Typically, I head to the gym first thing in the morning, but today, I didn't work out until 5 pm. I went downstairs and got on my exercise ball, grabbed some of my free weights (3/5/8 lbs.) and did an upper body workout. I did pretty well until I got to the chest exercise. Man did that hurt. Those chest muscles were really tight and it was sore when I was done, but it felt good to do them.
Here is my food journal entry for today:
Brunch
Sausage/Ham Hashbrown Casserole
Coffee
Dinner
Pork Loin shredded w/ homemade gravy
Toast
Mashed Potatoes
Water (2)
Evening Snack
Popcorn
Water
Tomorrow is cardio day and I am going to walk the hilly subdivision that I live in. Talk to everyone tomorrow!!!
