Another day has gone by and I feel that I have done really well. I again, tried to make sure that I watched what I ate, making good choices. And again, today I think I made the right choices. I even went the whole day without having coffee. That was real tough, but I did it.
And today, I went to the gym & did lower body. When I finally got done, my legs were wobbly!!! And my hubby was so sweet- he is an instructor in the massage program at our local college & he got one of his students to do a 1-hour massage on me. I felt awesome!!!!!

Tomorrow is going to be a tough day- I have to drive to Charlotte & pick up my 80+ year old aunt from the airport. I am going to try and get up early and go to the gym before I leave, or maybe jump on our treadmill in the basement and do my cardio. I am going to get it in one way or the other. Talk to you all tomorrow!!

I like the improved attitude! Determination to get in a workout no matter what the day throws at you is exactly what it will take. Also why, even if you aren't a morning person, the sooner you get it done, the less chance of distractions called 'life' will get in the way!
ReplyDeleteSomething to think about on your drive...what is your true goal here? You've mentioned confindence, losing weight and being healthy. Is there a certain # you want to see on the scale? Is a clothing size? How will you know when you are more confident? How will you know you are healthier? Yes, losing weight will make you healthier, but you can weigh 130lbs and still be unhealthy. And have little confidence for that matter.
Slowly but surely, it sounds like you are making some positive changes. Keep it up!
Having some more clearly defined goals (large and small) will help you focus and also let you know when to celebrate! Instead of celebrating with food, your hubby has the right idea with the massage. After working out 12 times in 2 weeks, maybe you can reward yourself with another one. Maybe sticking to healthy eating for 3 weeks straight means a movie with your kids...along those lines. Heck, 5 minutes to yourself after preparing healthy food for the next few days/week can be a reward! It can really help to have something small but enjoyable to look forward to besides a candy bar. ;)
Keep working! You can do it!
