Today was a good workout day today. I got up with pretty good energy, took the kids to school and went to workout. I did lower body and added some additional leg exercises. After my workout I ran errands, and did some cleaning at our office. My aunt came in and got another massage from one of my husband's students at our office.
After her massage, we left the office to go get the kids. After sitting in car line at school, I had my kids and the two kids that I shuttle to a karate school (my way of by-passing the car line and not waiting for almost an hour to pick up my kids) and dropped them off. We got home and got homework done, I made dinner and we hung out and watch movies on Cartoon Network. Took a small nap while watching the movies and got up and finished watching a movies and put the kids to bed. Surfing the web, watching some shows, and checking on the blog/Facebook, I was starting to wonder if something was going on.
For the past week to two weeks, I have noticed that I have been tired around 3 pm. Now I know that they say that sometimes around 3 pm a lot of people get tired, but I feel that I am even more tired then normal. Around 3 pm, I am not sleepy, I just want to crash. For me, if I take a nap, the I end up staying up real late. My husband on the other hand, he can talk a 2 hour nap and still be in bed by 8 pm & sleep another 8-10 hours. I can't do that.
The other thing that I was curious about was I know that in the past, I was told that I was a bit anemic, and my husband read my labwork and said that I had hypothyroid (underactive thyroid which affects the metabolism). I was looking online and hypothyroid can affect the body to absorb iron. I was looking back on my food journal to see what I have been eating that could cause it. I know that red meat is a good source of iron, as well as spinach and so on. Maybe I just need to try and increase it. Also, I am going to talk to my husband tonight or tomorrow about different supplements that might need to be changed to help me not feel like I am going to crash around 3 pm.
So here is my food jounral entry for today:
