I wanted to get up around 5:30 am so that I could get to the gym before the kids got up, but because I went to bed so late, I couldn't get up that early. But I did wake up around 7:30 am & all the kids were awake, but they were actually real quiet, playing with their Christmas toys. So, I woke up, had breakfast, and watched the news to see what is going on in the world.
My aunt decided to watch the kids while I went to the gym & I worked on lower body. Because of the holiday break, there was a lot of people in the gym so a lot of the equipment was getting occupied when I needed to use them. So I ended up using free weights on squats (Man, a lot of people were working on squats). I really worked on pushing the weights on lower body. The abductors & adductors were really feeling it, and when I did the free weights on the squats, I was feeling it more than the machines that they had me set up on. It felt good.
As soon as I got done, I got home and took the kids out to lunch and to see Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, which was a pretty good movie, then we came home, our daughter's friend was picked up by her dad, and my husband took us out to dinner. By the time we got to the restaurant, I started to feel tired for the lack of sleep from last night.
Here is my food journal entry for today:
Breakfast
Special K cereal
Coffee
Lunch
Salad (iceberg lettuce, banana peppers, olives, tomatoes, italian dressing)
2 slices of pizza
Water
Afternoon Snack- Movie
Popcorn
1/2 cup Soda
Dinner
Salmon w/ fried rice & mixed vegetables
Chicken Broth Sipping Soup w/ sliced fresh mushroom & green onions
Water
1/2 glass of Sweet Tea
Tomorrow is cardio day & I have to work all day at the office. So, I am going to go to bed early tonight and maybe make it to the gym early. Talk to everyone tomorrow!!!
