Day Twenty- Still Pushing Forward!

I have been trying to not force changing my eating & excercising and make trying to make it more of a conscious effort. If I act as if it is normal for me to excercise every morning, and making conscious decision about eating, it seems to make it much more easier to do it everyday.

But, today, I wasn't able to do the cardio. Today, I had to pick up my aunt from the airport. My husband took the kids this morning & I made myself breakfast, and waited a bit for my food to digest before I got on the treadmill at home. By the time I got ready to get on the treadmill, I wouldn't of gotten a good workout in & still pick up my aunt on time. I knew I would be super late picking up my aunt. We live 1 1/2 hours from the airport, so time management today was huge. I had to get down to pick up my aunt on time and by the time we got back, it was time to pick up the kids. Then, I was so exhausted when I got back, I took a nap. By the time I woke up, I had to get ready for a holiday party with a business group that my husband belongs to.

So today, I focused completely on my diet choices. And I think that I did great at that! Here is my food journal entry for today:

Breakfast
Egg & Hashbrown Skillet
Coffee/Water

Lunch
Pho Tai (Vietnamese Soup- thinly sliced beef, beef broth, rice noodles, onions, green onion, basil)
Water/Cafe Su Da

Afternoon Snack
Peanut Butter Crackers
Water

Dinner
Leftover Pho Tai
2 glasses of Water

Evening Snack/Party
4 Chicken legs
Carrot Sticks
Small servings of Chicken Salad
A lot of pineapple, grapes, strawberries
Wheat Thins

At the business group party, it was so hard to pass up the mini cheesecakes, all the chocolate, etc. That is why I stuck to all the fruit that they had. And, you know what....I didn't miss the chocolate/desserts. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Chocoholic- but tonight, I didn't crave it at all!!!

I got a comment on yesterday's blog, & it was a nice comment that I received for encouragement. He/She said that I needed to figure out my goal. And looking back, it looks like that I have a goal, but not a specific goal. So I guess that the specific goal for me is to be at 175 lbs. & down to a size 12-14. I know that I have met my confidence peak meeting that goal, but I will still have confidence reached if I reach 200 lbs., then I know that I am almost to my peak. My husband teaches at the college part time, but we also have a chiropractic clinic full time. He is a chiropractor with his diplomate in Internal Disorder. So he is tracking my overall health throughout all of this. I am very thankful for the encouragement, and I am still pushing forward!!

Tomorrow is upper arms, so I am heading to the gym in the morning. Talk to everyone then!!!
