Today for me was a rockin' day!! I got plenty of sleep, had a great breakfast, my husband took the kids for the morning, went to the gym and worked out, met my family for lunch, and took my aunt & daughter shopping today. It was a great and relaxing day. I felt awesome. I had a small snafu, but I think I recovered real well.
So since today was a great day, I felt so comfortable with the changes I have made with eating & working out. At the gym, there were all these thin & fit people & then me, but you know what- I didn't feel uncomfortable or timid about being the fat kid. It felt good. When I met my family for lunch, I ordered my lunch and only ate 1/2 of it. But before I ate it, I put 1/2 of it in a box, so I wouldn't over eat.
We brought the kids home and put them down for a nap, and I worked on some things that I had been putting off, and when my aunt woke up, we took my oldest daughter clothes shopping & grocery shopping. When we got home, we unpacked the car and started making dinner. After dinner, my husband went over to a friend's house for cards & I am sitting on the couch, typing this blog. I feel awesome!!!
So, here is my food journal entry for today:

Tomorrow is going to be my free day. Since my aunt is in town, tomorrow, we are making authentic Vietnamese food (my aunt is Vietnamese & I am half Vietnamese/Half Native American). Vietnamese is not like Chinese food, we cook with a really good balance of veggies & proteins & minimize the carbohydrates (rice). I love it, and I miss it since my mom passed away two years ago. We moved to NC over 6 years ago & I grew up with my mom owning a Vietnamese restaurant since I was born & that was majority of my meals everyday. So when I moved, it was real tough to find good Vietnamese food, but before my mom died, she taught me all of her secret recipes. So I cannot wait until tomorrow. Talk to you all then!!
